Heike Schneider-Matzigkeit's photography encompasses pathos, blurred sexuality and otherworldly beauty, whether it be in haunting portraits, evocative club shots, or startling rock 'n' roll imagery.

Placing the focus within different genres, she works within music, fashion, documentary and art photography.

She has completed location and studio photoshoots with musical luminaries such as Sonic Youth, Primal Scream, Gary Numan, Klaxons, The Kills, Suede, Echo and the Bunnymen, Melissa auf der Maur, Ladytron and The Dresden Dolls. Additionally, her live photography has resulted in iconic shots of the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Franz Ferdinand, The Libertines, Amy Winehouse, Manic Street Preachers, Jane's Addiction, PJ Harvey, R.E.M., The Cramps, Interpol and Iggy Pop.

Her work has been exhibited across the European continent and appears prolifically in many leading publications. Clients include The Independent on Sunday, The Guardian, PETA, Virgin, NME.

Academically, she studied at London College of Printing and the University of Westminster (BA Hons Film, Video & Photographic Arts) as well as RMIT in Melbourne, Australia.

She currently resides between London and Berlin, and works out of her Central Berlin Studio 'Lux Revolver'.
